Storming into the limelight as the delightful Kim Loong in @Moulmein High, this fresh-faced, boyish actor has been cooking up a stir for his acting skills. Effectively bilingual in both English & Mandarin, he had starred in numerous English and Mandarin productions. He just completed a Taiwan/China production (星光依旧灿烂) which will air in both China and Singapore and is currently filming a new Telemovie for Channel U (向日葵的约定) where he plays the lead role, as well as a new upcoming 180-episodes television series for Channel 8 (想握你的手). Earlier this year, he had also made his debut in Japan’s Nippon TV, introducing Singapore to the Japanese audiences.
Lawrence’s acting extends beyond television as well. He acted in various plays and had worked with theatre companies like Action Theatre, The Necessary Stage, Toy Factory, The Fun Stage etc.
Touted as Female Magazine 50 Most Gorgeous People in 2004, Lawrence’s young and good looks has also attracted a lot of advertisers. He has appeared in numerous commercials, both print and television. Some notable advertisements include L’oreal, Milo, Starhub, MTV Asia, Marybrown and KFC. Lawrence is well known in the modeling industry for his versatility in his looks: he can be styled to look like different age groups, different professions and different characters very easily. He was also involved in hosting various brand launches such as Clarins Men Skincare, Virgin Mobile, Olympus and more.
With a strong mind to better his performing career, Lawrence underwent singing and dancing lessons. Since then, Lawrence has taken part in various dance competitions and won top prizes for his lucid and delightful movements.
